About INT

The Institut National des Télécommunications (INT) is part of the Groupe des Ecoles des Télécommunications, a public institution funded by the French Ministry of Telecommunications. INT provides graduate programs in engineering and management, and achieves research in the broad field of communications and information technology. The faculty includes 150 permanent professors and 140 Ph.D. students.

The Computer Science Department has some 21 permanent staff, 2 postdoctoral researchers and some 15 doctoral students. Among others, the department is working on complex manipulations of product, resources, services, and processes in a dynamic and large scale distributed and virtual enterprises and organizations. These manipulations include searching, selecting, abstracting, composing and meta-modeling. Semantic information are used and managed to describe product, resources, services and processes.

The Department participated recently to the French RNRT CESURE project (1999-2001), in the ITEA VIVIAN project (2000-2002), in the French-Finnish AMPROS project on proactive computing (2003-2005), in the ITEA OSMOSE project (2003-2005). At the European level, the department is currently involved in the following ITEA projects: S4ALL (2005-2007), SUMO (2005-2007) and ParMA project (2007-2009). At the national level, the department is currently involved in the following ANR projects: SCOrWare (2007-2008), p-LearNet (2007-2009) and Respire (2006-2008).
