About IRIT
IRIT is a joint-research unit (UMR 5505) with Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse (INPT), Université Paul Sabatier (UPS) and Université des Sciences Sociales Toulouse 1 (UT1). Some of the research group of IRIT are located on the ENSEEIHT site, an engineering school of INPT. The research groups from IRIT which contribute to the SCOrWare project are the Astre and Acadie teams.

The Astre team
The objectives of the research activities of ASTRE team are to contribute to tackle different challenges relating to distributed, mobile and real-time applications and architectures. One particular axis of the group is to study the concepts, mechanisms and tools that compose operating systems and middleware. In the framework of the Scorware project, we explore the design of an autonomic administration system which allows administration of distributed SCA applications. Our contribution is based on the experience we have gained through the design and implementation of the Jade and Tune systems.
The Acadie team (GRID-TLSE project)
The GRID-TLSE project at IRIT gathers members from different teams, including Acadie. This project aims at easing the semantic integration and interoperability of scientific computing services distributed over a Grid (this activity benefits from the support of 3 ACI-GRID and ACI Calcul intensif projects). The Acadie team contributes in the area of semantic description and trading of services. The group also contributes
to the formal definition of Model Driven Engineering and Development Process in the TOPCASED project. In SCORWARE, we propose to integrate around SCA our previous results about semantic description and trading of services and to bridge the gap between the technologies for describing development process and service orchestration.
